Aims and Objectives

  • To converge the modern Geographical Information System (G.I.S.) as a pivotal component with Teaching-Learning process.
  • To assist the students to develop analytical and problem solving skills to avail the opportunities provided to them.
  • To stimulate the students to enquire and explore new avenues of knowledge.

PO1.Critical Thinking:

The curriculum made for the betterment of the students; enhance the ability and thinking power of the students.


PO2. Effective Communication:

The complete medium of program learning is either Marathi or English so students will communicate well in the English or Marathi.  There is Short term course soft skill development for Students. Which helps in effective Communication.


PO3.Social Interaction:

Due to continuous interaction with students in terms of various programme run by  department i.e. Curiosity Thirsty For Knowledge  programme, Celebration of ‘Birth Day’ of  Teaching Staff and Students , Extension activity like  , “bore well recharging awareness” and village survey in adivasi village helps to increase Social Interaction.




PO4.Effective Citizenship:

Being the students of Geography they have to communicate with people, They have developed skills in Interactions among themselves in PPT Competition under curiosity programme.



The subject teaches students about the ethical approach, to conservation of biodiversity and environment.

Conservation practices are studied for sustainable development in Agriculture, resources etc.
