It is my pride privilege to welcome you all on behalf Mahatma Phule Arts, Science and Commerce College, Panvel and our parent institution Rayat Shikshan Sanstha which is one of the largest educational Institute in Asia. The Sanstha has made commendable progress in the field of education reflecting the Ideals cherished by its visionary founder Padma Bhushan, Dr. Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil. The symbol of our Sanstha is a ‘banyan tree’ which indicates its wide spread educational expansion in terms of 750 branches established in rural parts of Maharashtra and Belgaon District of Karnataka. The Sanstha basically works for rural masses to uplift their educational standard and attain their overall development.

Our college was established in 1970 to educate children of farmers, workers and saltpan makers residing in Panvel, Uran, Pen and Khalapur Tehsils. It was the first and sole option of Higher Education at that time in nearby tehsils. We feel proud to mention that our college has played a pivotal role in making career and personality development of innumerable students who have brought laurels to the college. Thousands of students have been benefited from the quality education provided by our college and have reached the top positions in academic, social, sports and cultural provinces. The vision of the college is to provide quality education to all classes of the society. In true sense we are marching ahead from last 52 years working sincerely and tirelessly to make new leaders and trusted pioneers carrying the legacy of Karmaveer for national development.

I feel proud to mention that our college is accredited at ‘A’ Grade with CGPA Score of 3.18 in Third Cycle of NAAC Assessment. Some of the notable achievements of our college are ‘Best College Award’ by University of Mumbai (2010-11), ‘First Prize in Jagar Janivancha Abhiyan’ by Govt. of Maharashtra (2012-13), ‘Karmaveer Paritoshik’ by Rayat Shikshan Sanstha, Satara (2014-15), ISO 9001:2015 Certification from International Accreditation Forum (2018-19) and DBT- Star College Grant by Govt. of India (2021-22).

We have set benchmarks before us to achieve ‘A+’ Grade in Fourth Cycle of Accreditation and Autonomous Status from UGC. I am confident that the college will achieve the excellence with the cooperation of its stakeholders in the years to come.
