Profile of the Department

Department of Hindi started at U.G. level in 1970 which has flourished into one of the sought-after Post-Graduate and Research Centre due to its well-defined objectives.

Aim:
To inculecate the love for national language and Hindi Literature among the students.
To enrich medival and modern Hindi Literature by undertaking research activities, publications and organizing various competitions in Hindi language.
Objectives -
To create intresting the students about Hindi language and literature.
To inspire students to speak in Hindi language.
To encourage the students to write literature in Hindi.
Encourage students to use Hindi as language of communication and language of nation.

Dattak Palak Yojana
Organization of Field visit of faculty and students in Theatre visit.
Organization of National level seminar, workshops.
Organization of various activities to inculcate research amongst students.
Departmental Library with reading room facility for the students and e-library facility.

To start the skill based short term courses like script writing, Film making and mass communication in the department.
To develop research skill among students through department level research project.
To organize International Seminar.
To start the university M. Phil. Programme.
