1. Through the scientific study of the evolution, anatomy, physiology, behaviour, habitats, and health of animals and humans, zoology has a significant impact on our planet. It incorporates a variety of methodologies, including field ecology, molecular genetics, and electron microscopy.
2. We learn more about ourselves and how we interact with the environment around us via the study of animals. By looking for answers to our concerns, we are in a unique position to influence change, encourage wiser decisions, and create solutions for a more resilient and healthy world.
